A concept for Retirement Street style is inspired by the street-style of elderly gentlemen.  Primary research is built on photographs of older men on the street and their everyday outfits. I discovered that most people wear functional fishing vest, bucket hat, cargo or classic trousers and traditional check shirt. Colours are mostly beige, grey, army green or fair blue jeans shades. From this main idea I have developed all parts of the concept, including colour palette, materials, style and designs. The main features of the collection are prints and utility pockets. Overall concept is divided into four sub-concepts: Flamboy, Outdoor, Army and Urban. Each sub-concept has different colour palette, material research and design is adjusted for four different customer profiles.

A funky twist is given to functional fishing vests, cargo pants and bucket hats. The scale and colour of the classic men’s check shirt has been re-proportioned for the younger generation.

Oversized pockets feature profusely and are removable and versatile and there is an excess of buckles, zips and Velcro fasteners. Extreme functionality.
